The Prestwich Carnival would not be possible without the support and generosity of the local community. A whole host of individuals, organisations and businesses support the carnival in volunteering, sponsorship and donations.

The Carnival is run entirely by volunteers – we rely entirely on our sponsors and donations.

Did you know…?

Last year our Carnival costs were over £21,000! Here are just some of our approximate costs to run your carnival:

  • Stage hire, lighting, sound, acts = £6,100
  • Parade = £3,600
  • Field activities = £4,000
  • Security & radio hire = £1,500
  • Insurance & licences = £1,100
  • Toilet hire / cleaning = £1,100
  • Vehicle hire / fuel = £400
  • First aid = £200
